I recently uploaded scans of a document grouping to Hauptmann David Held, including his Soldbuch.
Here are some stamps I copied from these scans. For the unit stamps, I changed only the number, in order to use these for my projects. I can reproduce any kind of rubber stamp from a scan of the original document. In these cases I do not re-typeset the stamps with digital fonts, rather I copy the lettering and graphics exactly. As you can see, the result is a stamp that is not merely similar, but virtually identical to the original.
