These are German-made Continental portable typewriters from the Third Reich era. The prewar 1937 example is one with a tabulator, a mechanical device allowing you to quickly move the carriage to a space or spaces of your choosing. The wartime one does not have this and would have been less expensive to buy when new for this reason. Both of these typewriters have the SS runic key.
